Hans Van Klinken put up a free fly tying workshop in Tacklebox Adventures, a very well-stocked fly shop in Malaysia, during the weekend showcasing many of the flies used during a recent trip to Mongolia. A trip described by one fly fisher as his “best trip ever” with each person catching countless decent sized fish every single day.
Hans is famous for creating the Klinkhammer, a popular Emerger used in fly fishing to catch grayling and trout. It is most popular within Europe, but has a growing interest in North America.
Most interestingly, a taimen was caught with a klinkhammer fly during this trip.
