Topwater Mahseer Madness (Best Ever Dry Fly Fishing)

A recent mahseer trip was met with low water levels in the lake and rivers. The lowest we have ever experienced here as a matter of fact.

Very little rain had fallen for nearly three months resulting in this low water condition. Understandably everyone was somewhat nervous and curious as how the fishing will be.

The first affect of the low water level was a lot more trekking into the rivers as where we would normally still be in the boat is now a walking path as it was too shallow for the boats to go on.

New waters and pools had to be fished and understood, and that in itself made the trip rather interesting!

Although mostly challenging, it was soon discovered if new approach and techniques were deployed, all is not lost and the trip could be salvaged.

And salvaged it was as some good if not outstanding fishing was to be had!
