The Forbidden Fruit of Fishing – Day 2 Trip Report With Gary, Dave and Andrew

Fishing dates: 12-14 October 2017

We’re not particular about what our guests bring with them into our boat. Sometimes however, crazy things happen and you cannot help but wonder.

Watch the video:

After a successful day 1, the second day on the water is proving to be tough and frustrating even though conditions are pretty much the same as the day before and there are plenty of fish about.

On some instances, fish are swimming right pass us and ignoring our offerings and on the few occasions they cooperated, we drop them.

Plenty of birds and fish around
Fish-on early in the day at 10am! Dropped this one though.

Oddly, it is only after we hastily finished off the forbidden fruit that we caught some fish. Haha. We had a lot of fun onboard that day laughing about what is happening.

In summary, this is how the day went: we dropped some fish in the early part of the session. Landed a sailfish and queenfish around noon. Things then went very quiet until the end of the day when we landed the second sailfish.

Still, we caught some fish and that’s awesome. The queenfish by Gary brightened up the day further, too.

Are you superstitious and avoid bringing bananas with you when fishing?
