The video is a little longer than your typical how-to-tie-a-knot but that is due the fun we had doing it.
You will also see very clearly how to tie the Penny Knot, created by Ron Penny from Melbourne.
The Penny knot is incredibly easy to learn. Just do it repeatedly for ten times and you will probably not forget how to do it again.
I tested this knot extensively on the salt and it never failed. Even the few times when I have to break the line off a snag it always broke at the leader, never the knot.
Why I like this knot?
- Very easy to learn
- Very quick to tie
- You can tie without looking – meaning you can keep your eyes on the water/fish
- Very strong
- Can make it into a loop-knot
