Mid-November normally signals the start of the Northeast Monsoon in Kuala Rompin, indicating the end of the fishing season. Steve’s trip at the beginning of November almost did not materialise, much to his chagrin. Two days before his trip, the sky over the east coast of Peninsular Malaysia suddenly turned black and strong winds blew-in.
