Amirul Irfan, a reader of Sport Fishin’ Asia sent us this great shot of a haruan (striped snakehead) he caught using a Duo Realis Shad 59MR.
Snakeheads often get hooked on the front set of hooks due to their ambush feeding behaviour. Although they do occasionally follow a lure and striking from behind, more often than not they lie in wait for something juicy to swim by and make a lightning quick strike and bites down on their prey.
Learning to identify possible fish holding spots can make the difference between a good day or a great day out fishing.
Thank you! :D
