Flowerhorn Cichlid flashes winning 4D numbers!

ET fishing

We were laughing when a Flowerhorn took a lure and was subsequently landed with little drama. No, wait. Make that no drama at all. And as the flowerhorn spun around while photos were being taken it was supposed to be in jest that the cameraman said he could see number flashing around.

The ‘lucky’ fish to invade our waters
If you are not aware of the flowerhorn cichlid’s fortunate reputation, see previous post. Or here.

Well, guess what? The Flowerhorn had the last laugh as two of the numbers actually did came out in the 4D draw that very weekend!

A face only its mother can love (cringe)

Flowerhorn Cichlid
This ugly specimen took a fly. They’re hopeless as a sport fish and can only contribute to ecological imbalance.

Before you go, what’s your take on this? How do you feel about aquarium imports ending up in your local lakes, ponds or rivers?

  1. The first one looks a bit like a mutant peacock bass. I guess you can blame us over in Taiwan for your Flowerhorn problem, since they were originally bred over here and exported to Malaysia from what I understand. Interesting fish. Some Taiwanese think they bring good luck, but those are probably not anglers.

  2. The flowerhorn sadly puts up little fight though coming from the same cichlid family as the Peacock Bass, which is arguably one of the hardest fighting freshwater game fish in the world.

This Malaysian aquatic frankenfish should never have been created.
