Mention the name Maldives and images of crystal clear water, turquoise seas rich with marine life, deserted islands with white powdery sandy beaches comes to mind.
So does beautiful and often expensive water villas and resorts!
Our trips in the Maldives take away the resort part and make the price more down-to-earth, considering you get to have a week long vacation in this paradise with accommodation and all meals included. And fishing, too!
A wide range of fish inhabit the Maldivian seas, such as amberjack, barracuda, bluefin trevally, bonefish, giant trevally, groupers of all sorts, tuna including dogtooth tuna, marlin, sailfish, permit, wahoo and more.
We have 2 types of trips, island stay and live-aboard.
- Maldives live-aboard fishing hosted trip
- Stay on island and fishing nearby islands
These trips can be a group of up to 10 people, or less.
This is not a luxury cruise but the 110-foot (33.5 meters) long motherboat is spacious and comfortable. Air-conditioned cabins are in the lower deck, with the rest of the amenities on the upper deck including a spacious open deck area on the bow allowing you to relax and soak-in the view.
Fishing can be done all around the motherboat, from the small tender and on the flats and surf.
Anglers can indulge in a wide range of fishing styles, be they fly fishing or spin fishing, jigging, popping, and so on. Some joke that you can fish 24 hours if you wish to.
These trips allow you to fish and experience different islands and locations, and see more of the atolls.
STAY ON ISLAND AND FISHING NEARBY ISLANDS
These trips can be guided, or self guided.
You stay in an apartment style house throughout the duration and is taken out fishing in surrounding islands.
Trips can be from one to six people.
WHAT TO EXPECT
The weather can be hot here. Especially if you come from colder climate countries, so have proper attires, sun protection and stay hydrated. You do not want to take chances and get dehydrated or a heatstroke, that will spoil your holiday.
