We take our sailfish fishing very seriously

Close-up of the Release Ruler for estimating weight of a sailfish

How Big are the sailfish in Kuala Rompin?

Due to the fact that no sailfish are allowed to be brought back to land (dead or alive), everyone makes rough estimates of the weight of the sailfish at Kuala Rompin.

With the recently acquired measuring device for the indo-pacific sailfish we can now at least get more accurate size measurement of our catches.

The release ruler will allow us to obtain the length and weight of the sailfish while it is in the water. The average weight measurement of length and girth is based on research from harvested sailfish and scientific data.

Will attempt to get on video of the release ruler and us measuring the sailfish in action soon. Let the fun begin.
