This qualifies as a feeding frenzy for sure. It is one of those moments in fishing where you find yourself at the sweet-spot and at the right-time.
There have been some memorable feeding-frenzy encounters. Mackerels, Sailfish, Peacock Bass, Snakeheads, Triple-tails, Red Snappers (most delicious), Mahi-Mahi/Dorados (most fun), Tuna and more. You don’t forget those moments easily. It’s best to enjoy them to the fullest when they come instead of groaning about catching the same fish and whining about sore muscles.
In saltwater fishing particularly where the tide and ocean current plays a significant role this can be tricky at best. Add to the equation fish that don’t stay in one area for long and you have to really appreciate the timing.
I was fishing 8-pound Berkley Vanish Transition and the Trevallies gave a very good fight. Sure, one fish is nothing. Try repeating the process for more than an hour. Non-stop!
When did you last encounter a feeding-frenzy? What did you catch?
