This is the second Bob I’m arapaima fishing with in Thailand. Both Bob hails from Australia. Some things are funny like that.
This trip, by the way, happened in May 2015.
Amazonbkk is still the place for arapaima in Thailand (probably the region) as they have a healthy population of fish stocked and some of them are huge, real monsters with the largest exceeding 100kg or over 200 pounds!
However, like many catch and release ponds the fish gets more difficult to fool with each visit.
Our first experience flying Malindo Air however, could have been better. It got delayed by 4 hours!

Before you go “What,…Hilton?” and think this is the norm – that we stay in nice places when we go fishing, that’s so not true.
I wish it is that way though, as although I like the at-one-with-nature stuff, it’s nice to stay in a comfy place whenever we get the chance to.
Enjoy the photos from the trip.

Hope you enjoyed the photos.
Below is one of the gear used. The brand new Abu Garcia Hornet Beretta rod and not so new OrangeMax reel.
