There are lots of big cobia at Kuala Rompin and we frequently target them as they are such a good sport. The biggest I’ve seen so far is estimated at 40kg (88 lbs). They can be caught using various fishing methods such as with jigs or bait.
This is a video of the late Chang Moh who passed away suddenly. This is his first cobia and it is a sizable fish. Wish I had made this video sooner though as he never had the chance to watch the edited version.
