I love the world wide web in that whenever we have a question that needs an answer all we have to do is keying in the relevant words into Google and “Voila”, we have the answer right in front of our eyes!
As some of you would have known I have been using the Kodak Playsport Zx5 for a couple of months now, and have been pretty happy with its performance. It is so easy to carry around which is a top criteria for me when choosing a camera and produces great video quality especially outdoors.
It was totally trouble-free until last night when it totally freeze up during playback. I must admit admit I got stumped for awhile as to what to do!
You see, normally, like a mobile phone or most electronic gadgets all we have to do is unplug the power source or remove the battery but the Kodak Playsport Zx5 comes with a built-in non-removable battery. It turned out to be a simple fix as I discovered from this site, pluggedin.kodak.com that all that is required is the poke the reset button found in between the USB and HDMI outlets.
Now I’m wondering if this freezing up will be a recurring issue. I definitely don’t want the camera failing when I’m fishing at some exotic location. Imagine coming home without any memories! Worse, who is going to believe all the unbelievable fishes I landed!?!
Anyway, I searched the Kodak site and downloaded a firmware upgrade from v1.03 to v1.06. Let’s hope that is the last we’ll hear of any problems. Catch you later!
